J Balvin to Host New Docuseries – Here's What You Should Know
J Balvin is adding a new role to his impressive career: host of a docuseries. The Colombian music sensation recently dropped the trailer for A Great Day With J Balvin, a Peacock original. Special guests on the show will include stars like Xolo Maridueña, Demi Lovato, Anitta, and more.
Following massive hits like "Mi Gente" and collaborations with Cardi B and Bad Bunny on "I Like It," J Balvin took some personal time away from the limelight after the birth of his son Río in 2021. This break allowed him to focus on his family and mental health. His big return came earlier this year at Coachella, where Will Smith made a surprise appearance during his set. He also dropped his latest album Rayo in August.
Now, Balvin is diving into his new show as both host and executive producer.
In the trailer, he shares, “Whatever comes my way, I make it a great day. Come along on this journey. We’re not defined by what we have, but by who we are.”
A Great Day With J Balvin will feature six episodes exploring self-care alongside celebrity guests. The trailer teases a mix of fun and relaxation, with scenes of J Balvin smashing car windows with Lovato, dancing to Brazilian zouk with Anitta, and record shopping with Blue Beetle star Xolo Maridueña.
In addition, viewers will see J Balvin meditating with Saweetie, cooking with Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, and playing dominoes with NBA star Jimmy Butler, who wears a traditional Colombian sombrero vueltiao during their game.
The docuseries will premiere on Peacock on October 17, and on November 7, J Balvin is set to perform on Amazon Music Live, which will stream on Prime Video and Twitch.
