Here’s Where You Can Watch the 2024 Miss Universe Pageant in Spanish
The highly anticipated 2024 Miss Universe pageant is set to take place on November 16, 2024, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. For those unable to attend in person, there’s good news — you can catch the event live in Spanish exclusively on Telemundo.
This year marks the 73rd edition of Miss Universe, and it’s expected to be the biggest one yet with representatives from 130 countries. Among them are the return of Belize, Botswana, China, Cuba, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, and Samoa, making it one of the most globally diverse lineups in the competition’s history. Another exciting addition is Iran, which will send a representative for the first time under the title Miss Universe Persia.
The reigning Miss Universe, Shennis Palacios from Nicaragua, will pass on the crown during the event. Mexico, which last hosted the competition in 2007, will welcome contestants from all over the world. The Latin American representation is especially strong, with confirmed contestants like Miss Mexico Maria Fernanda Beltran, Miss Venezuela Ileana Marquez Pedroza, Miss Dominican Republic Celinee Santos Frias, Miss Argentina Magali Benejam, Miss Colombia Daniela Toloza, Miss Bolivia Juliana Barrientos, Miss Ecuador Mara Topic, Miss Brazil Luana Cavalcante, and Miss Puerto Rico Jennifer Colon. Notably, Miss USA Alma Cooper is also of Afro-Latina heritage.
Ronald Day, President of Entertainment and Chief Content Officer of Telemundo, expressed the importance of the pageant, stating, “Miss Universe is incredibly significant for us as we will bring our audience the beauty and the cultural richness of the host country, which will serve as the stage for this year’s pageant. As the Spanish-language home in the U.S. of this international event, we will offer exclusive programming leading up to the much-anticipated ceremony, where we celebrate women who have made an impact in their communities through their stories, mission, and leadership.”
In addition to its live broadcast on Telemundo, the pageant will also be aired on Telemundo Internacional and USA Network for viewers across Spanish-speaking Latin America. For those who prefer watching in English, the event will be available for streaming on the Roku Channel.
